Windows client

The Windows client connects FSAirSync to your flight simulator. It shows you the traffic around you and provides chat and voice. You can download it from the website, in your personal area under Downloads.

Installation

  1. Download the current version of the Windows client from the FSAirSync download area.
  2. Unpack the application into a folder of its own.
  3. Start the client.

Setup

In Settings, check the following:

  • Set the server to Live.
  • Enter your SimBrief Pilot ID (optional; this lets the client set the departure and arrival airports, callsign and airframe ICAO correctly).
  • For voice, select your devices and assign a push-to-talk key, usually Sidestick Button 1.
  • For model matching, at least one .vmr file is required; generic models are deliberately not used.
  • Example for FSLTL: ...Community\fsltl-traffic-base\FSLTL_Rules.vmr
  • Sign in using the device code to connect.

First start

Enter the departure and arrival ICAO codes, callsign and airframe ICAO type, or load them from a SimBrief flight plan you created. Then start the flight.

Closing down

End or pause the flight in the client before you close the application. That way your flight is ended properly for everyone else. The flight is also finally closed when you start a flight with a different callsign.
